For a few years now I've been letting mag subs lapse and buying individual magazines on the newsstands rather than renew my subscriptions, but I figured it was time to subscribe again.

Call for Entry for new Digital Outdoor Gallery exhibit

I just finished our most recent exhibit featuring the photographs of Graham Nash (from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young fame). It was an awesome show. We actually were able to get Graham Nash to come to a day and evevning reception where he spoke about his photos.

The next exhibit I am putting together is 13 Artists from 13 Countries.

This exhibit will go up in December and I'll be contacting artists I've discovered while surfing, but if you want to be included, just contact me directly and I'll look at your work. donnellyda@butte.edu

There is no fee to exhibit in our gallery. We have an Epson 9800 that we use for printing the work on Epson Canvas or Enhanced Matte paper. Artist keep full copyright to their work and we split any sales of the works 70-30 with the artists. If the works don't sell, we offer the artists the opportunity to purchase the prints at our minimal costs for printing and paper.

The Web site for the BAD DOG (Butte Art 7 Design Digital Outdoor Gallery) will be up this coming week finally. Too little time and so much to do.

New Digital Outdoor Gallery Looking for Artists

I am the director of the Graphic Design and Multimedia programs in an Art department here in Chico, California USA and I have started a Digital Outdoor Gallery through our nonprofit college foundation; Butte Art & Design. The acronym is BAD DOG.

The gallery consists of six 40" x 40" lockable glass cases mounted on a prominent downtown wall and nine additional cases on a wall faces the main student quad at our college campus. See URL for images: www.inyourface.com/baddog

I am looking for digital artists from around the world to showcase their work throughout the year. I have a gallery contract that states that the artists keep all rights to the work and that my foundation gets 50% of the art sale price which goes back into the art department to do more projects.

We have a 44" Epson 9800 Gicleé printer and print all art on either high-quality Enhanced Matte paper or high-quality canvas. There is no cost to artists at all. If the prints we show do not sell we will keep them in archives and try and sell them later and artists will get any money when they sell. Or artists can purchase the prints from us at our cost plus any shipping.

I'm really excited about featuring as many deviants as possible from around the world to let our community see the quality of digital work being produced.
